Augusta Regional at Bush Field

The airport was first created in 1941 as a training facility for military pilots for WWII, during that same year the airport suffered a major tragedy when two planes collided killing three out of the four on board the aircraft's, the field was then named Bush Field to remember one of the instructor's killed in the crash. Hector International Airport

When most people hear the name of this town, their thoughts drift to a very dark humored movie named Fargo. When traveling to Fargo, North Dakota you will more then likely fly into Hector International Airport. The airport dates back to 1927, when Martin Hector leased a portion of his property to the town for 5 years at $1.00 / per year - what a bargain! His family later donated the larger majority of the land to the town as the aviation needs grew in the Fargo area.
