When most people hear the name of this town, their thoughts drift to a very dark humored movie named Fargo. When traveling to Fargo, North Dakota you will more then likely fly into Hector International Airport. The airport dates back to 1927, when Martin Hector leased a portion of his property to the town for 5 years at $1.00 / per year - what a bargain! His family later donated the larger majority of the land to the town as the aviation needs grew in the Fargo area. Over the many years the airport has gone by three different names, but always paying homage to the original owner of the land Mr. Martin Hector!
