Don Muang International Airport (formally known as Bangkok International Airport) was recently re-opened as a reliever type airport for the newly opened Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The airport just serves for mostly the military and private jet activity coming into the city of Bangkok. It is nice to see that Thailand is once again a tourist destination after it has been recovering from the tsunami in 2004 that killed approximately 300,000 people in the region.
